| Did Catherine Harris Suddenly Become the Commissioner of Baseball?

On August 14th, President W attended a baseball game at Coors Field in Colorado. W at a place named by a beer manufacturer is just the beginning of the fun.
I will agree that that was simply coincidence, but from there it gets really weird. I assure you I am not making any of this up. Baseball games last nine innings, but at the end of nine innings of in this game, the score was tied. No clear winner at the end of regulation. This election, er, baseball game went into overtime. After a couple of extra vote counts, er, innings, a winner was eventually decided. Final score? Colorado won 5-4. That's right, 5-4. I don't believe there is any truth to the rumor that the regular umpires were replaced by the United States Supreme Court. W spent most of the game in a luxury suite (go figure) with Colorado Rockies owner Jerry McMorris. However, he disappeared in the seventh inning. At the time Atlanta was ahead 4-2. So Colorado is losing, W leaves, and Colorado ends up winning? Colorado, a team 20 games under .500, is losing to Atlanta, a team engulfed in the pennant race, and comes from behind to win after W disappears? And we're not supposed to be suspicious? While not directly involved (or was he?), someone with a connection to W was on the winning team. No, not his brother. It was Colorado pitcher Brian Bohanon. Bohanon was on the Texas Rangers when W owned the team. A Colorado player once played for W. In sports jargon for a win, Colorado got the "W." Did W play a role in the "W" as a favor to Bohanon? Finally, is a quote from Atlanta manager Bobby Cox. "I just wish he'd come earlier and go through the clubhouses. I think all the troops would like to meet the president." The troops? My guess is that when the sent mail to W requesting a visit, the letters had invalid postmarks. After all, sometimes the mail from our troops is rejected because the letters aren't postmarked properly. While I'm not suggesting an investigation, the similarities between the election and this baseball game seem a bit suspicious. W may be completely innocent in this situation. But the details also might be a little more gore-y than initially assumed. Clearly, though, there is one positive to this controversy. Thank goodness it wasn't a Florida Marlins game.
