Wentzian Calendar

(In honor of Marktoberfest, some people have generously offered some Calendar variations with a family twist. Please enjoy.)

Jonuary seems to make sense, and we have two Debs, so one can have Debtember (Debtember 25th = ChristMark?) and the other one can have Debruary (With GroundRob's day). After that it gets harder. Julya fourth is IndeBendence day (celebrating over 200 years of freedom from Ben). We can swap two letters in a month to get Amy (it's a stretch, but it does contain Momorial day, which sounds a lot better than Caroleorial day). Finally, all the nieces and nephews dred the coming of Stephtember, when school resumes. (Rob)

Let's not forget SepTimber. (Jon)

Are you using the Gregorian calendar? (Jon)

And Rob's got a day. April first. (Jon)

New Year's Steve, too. (Rob)

Christmas Steve (Ruth)

Yes, and All Hallow's Steve, too. And then there was the line in Hamlet or Macbeth about "Beware the Ides of Mark." I think Ides is supposed to be short for Ideas, because I sure wish I'd been warned about Marktoberfest ahead of time. (Rob)

Rob, I think you are getting greedy. If you get April Fools Day, cannot I have Kath Wednesday? Do we all get the First Day of Wentzer? (Kathy)

Nee Kath Wentzday? (Jon)

Having assigned Rob April Fool's day in complete betrayal of the whole name-similarity component of this thread, I feel it my duty to assign myself the day before Kath Wentzday... Until I lose a few pounds, anyhow. (Jon)

there's also Joanneuary. (Ruth)

Aw, come on! We are completely ignoring the obvious Danuary (or Andrewary, as the case may be), for those who may be feeling left out. And of course, the upcoming holiday, Ollie-ween, is always a treat for the kids. (Deb)

St Patrick's Day is too obvious for Pat or Patrick, but it needs to be mentioned, at least. (Joanne)

Isn't there a Feast of the Davidity? (Joanne)

If Greg gets the Gregorian calendar, then any Julia gets any Julian dates that show up on it. And of course, the whole month of Julie-y. (Joanne)

Ricky has asked for Dick-cember. (Joanne)

Did we give out Amy-stice Day yet? (Joanne)

And another for the whole family: The Feast of St. Wentzeslas. (Joanne)

Last night I was at a pumkin carving party and I was talking about this and someone suggested Februthary. There is also T-J Day, Michaelmas, Willentine's day, Epiphandy, Paul Sunday, Erincipation Day, Abbyril, Jimuary, and Pegust. (Ruth and chums)

If someone can have a child named Henry by Nov. 28th, we could have Hanksgiving. There's also RamaDan, Rob Hashanna and Murtha's Day (Rob)

If we're moving in that direction, I suggest Jon Kippur as well. (Kathy)

Novembowl. (Erin O.--who clearly did not understand the megalomaniacal nature of the exercise.)
